Calligraphy exercise. I haven't written alibata for a long time; this was the first alibata word I wrote in years.
Though this is more an experiment in writing than a finished calligraphy work, I wanted to post this to spark interest in writing alibata. Alibata is an old Philippine script derived from Arabic. (More info: [link] - excellent site)
wow! elegant! uh, how is it pronounced, specifically?
coz i remember each alibata is a syllable much like nihonggo...i havent really understood how last syllables are read in modern words written as alibata
The symbols are la(li) - wa - na - ga -- I think I made a mistake, actually, since there shouldn't be a "ga" symbol at the very end. Oops. @_@ Its syllabication isn't so much Nihongo-ish as (according to the site) Mycenae-ish.
If I understood correctly, most last consonants aren't rendered with the notable exception of w.

It's easy to feel sorry for others.
But it's difficult to help them stop feeling sorry for themselves.
