I realized it was high time to update this since my journal still has new year's well wishes on it, though the year is close to its end.

Um, so! What has happened to me since then, and why do I keep disappearing? Throughout 2009, I did the following things:

♠ Worked as an editorial assistant at a not-for-profit foundation
♠ Held a solo exhibit entitled "Paraluman"
♠ Entered grad school as an MA Econ student at my university
♠ Wrote more than I have in the past several years combined
♠ Wrote and submitted a research paper for a national physics congress
♠ Started preparing for applications to graduate school abroad
♠ Took the GRE (and will take the TOEFL this week!)
♠ Found out about a certain medical condition (don't worry, I'm seeing a doctor for it)
♠ Revived an improbable romantic existence ♥

It's been a busy (and a very difficult) year. I will be glad when it's over, but much as I might have made major mistakes and gone through various painful things throughout this year, I'm still grateful for everything that's happened and all the people I've met. I might not have finished as many pieces as I would have liked, but I think I've grown a lot; I hope in the future not only my actions in my studies and my work will show this maturity, but my art as well.
